Gus TeMoana is the owner/operator of Alpine Hot Bus. He was born in Waihi on the southern shores of Lake Taupo and he has lived and worked in the region all his life. His business involves taking people to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing which is one of the world's most famous one day walks. The Hot Bus also provides transport to various local attractions in Taupo. Gus enjoys most showing and helping visitors get to see and experience some of the wonders of the local area including the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Gus also owns a Charter boat business in Taupo called TeMoana Charters, which involves taking people trout fishing and on scenic cruises on Lake Taupo. He has fished rainbow trout on Lake Taupo and its many tributaries for many years and therefore has a wealth of knowledge about this wonderful outdoor paradise.
